Alone at a bar by my own accord
Not to meet someone and be stood up
Thank you very much for that one time
But passing through and chanced to pass
A bar with Friday free wings and drink specials: Croxleys
I’ve come a long way from several years past
I once dreaded setting foot in a bar even with friends
It filled me with trepidation and anxiety
I didn’t know how to order a drink,;
I was afraid to speak to the bartender
I almost don’t quite remember those days
Now I am quite calm and have my go to drinks
I favor rum and coke or tequila sunrise
It’s nice to function like a regular person
Still, I know my limits; never gotten drunk
And I intend to keep it that way
I’m a cool customer all the same
